Provision and payment/reimbursement of healthcare for Czech citizens in the United Kingdom

In accordance with the Withdrawal Agreement which entered into force on 1st February 2020, the current situation for the provision and payment/reimbursement of healthcare for Czech citizens in the United Kingdom will be maintained during the transition period, i.e. co-operation will continue based on the rules mentioned in the coordination regulations (Regulation (EC) 883/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council and its implementing Regulation 987/2009). In practice, it means that current regime will remain in place for all cross-border situations during the transition period, from 31st January 2020 till 31st December 2020, unless otherwise stated.

The Ministry of Health recommends that Czech citizens who are long-term residents in the United Kingdom monitor information and request information from the United Kingdom authorities.

Provision and payment/reimbursement of healthcare for British citizens in the Czech Republic

In practice, it means that current regime will remain in place for all cross-border situations during transition period, from 31st January 2020 till 31st December 2020, unless otherwise stated.
